well done...

though you may want to use a technique called line sweep for the body which allows for more smooth and and fine detailed objects to be extruded along any line.

its quite useful, what program do you use?

first off nice scene but here's what needs critique
1. the glare off the sun is too thick, requires a tone down
2. there should be flaring off the surface, though good texture it lacks the chaos of a true sun
3. the outerspace seems dull but im glad you added in fog instead of just plainly doting a black backround, good points for that.

other than that its pretty decent so 7 for you

too thick you say... well looking at it it does look a little bit odd... perhaps you are on to something there, i will have to experiment. ahh flaring, now that is a tough thing to do. you know i really only tried a little bit to get the surface to flare. i was too busy trying to make solar flares on the outside. but i think you are right. i should invest some more time on that. Thanks for the excellent review!
