a time back when naughty dog games were ACTUALLY worth playing.
still got the cd's, still enjoy them.
wonderful tribute kouga, i'm loving the slight gritty, pixel, shading look.

LovelyKouga responds:

Actually Naughty Dog is STILL making good games, Jak & Daxter and Uncharted to name two :P They stopped making the Crash Bandicoot games after Crash Team Racing...which is pretty much when the games went downhill XD;
YES I downloaded the first three on my PS3, had a few sleepless nights playing them...a lot harder than I remember! But just as fun.
Thank you! ^^

Hmm the entirety of the piece feels a bit conflicting.
First you have the character.
He's comprised of more than five colors which don't seem to mesh well.
It feels too saturated and thrown together.
What's putting me off is that he has two color elements below and five above.
The red/white mixture of shirt, heart patch, and tie go mix nicely because its easy on the eyes to follow and look at the design whether or not it has detail.
But the head consisting of blue hair, green eyes, bronze key, glasses and the rainbow patch just makes it look garbled. The cog key, glasses, and multicolored tears seems tossed in for the sake of making the character unique and to differentiate it from the rest.
Don't get me wrong, the shading is fantastic and the hair style flows well but it's the color that puts me in this awkward position of critique.
To him it's how much color are you putting on or take off and how much detail will you add or subtract.
Other than his hair and everything below his neck, this character lacks visual balance and physical depth.
The backround also feels thrown in, but i do love the orange/black mix.

It might be just me, but saturation seems to put me off quite easily when it jumps from color to immediate color.

Yep

i adore her cute snipped expression on her face as well as the stars lining softly along the left cheek. Such as a sophisticated female aristocrat, she garners respect and infatuated curiosity; yet she has left that life to pursue an artsy freedom to dress and dine as she pleases.

The hairstyle is simple, separate, and still maintains style. Having both frontal bar-bangs and back lashed curls work marvelously to give off that flirtatious, teasing, enjoyment along with intellectual opportunist.

Her attire is very admiring, adorable, respectful, yet a tad cosmic with a very small hint of Tuscaroran.

lovely piece indeed.

ZaneZansorrow responds:

You sure have a fancy way with words lol, thanks :)

she's most likely playing a game of tag with her friend who so happens to be a mass murdering psycho nymphomaniac prancing around in skanky demonic battle armor, tearing the shit out of the city's mega-structures.

am i even remotely close?

Speedo responds:

Bingo. Its whip-tag, so the psycho is also a masochist

That's one pretty flamboyant pirate crew you got there...

DaveRooder responds:

crazy crew...

bitey's looking pretty good for his later years.

mega-supreme responds:

must be all the running

not sure how, but the contrast clashing of red and blue makes the creature seem...not entirely evil.
as if it's fleeing from nature's reckoning.

wonderful piece.

Izzy-A responds:

I wasn't going for evil. I like showing beauty in scary things

fuck it, flip a mountain and be done with it.

Pretty damn good line up for 3d concept.

i may be currently busy with other projects but i would love to make him when i have free time.

YouAreNotAlone responds:

Sorry, man, but this charecter made specially for Snow Arc Studio, so... they're the ones, who own him)

You don't hate us...you only hate yourself.

Aqlex responds:

I have a feeling that holds very true for this teacher.

There is no right or wrong in art, it simply just is, it is perspective experience within existence made from the audience, or the artist
